It was 2005 and I was a corporate attorney with a husband and a baby on the way. Late one night, around 9pm, I brought the law partner I was working for the brief that I was working on and he stopped, looked at me, then looked down at my belly like he realized for the first time that I was 8-months pregnant. He said: “Uh. Have you eaten today?” And I hadn’t eaten since lunchtime. It was in that moment that thought to myself: “These people don’t care about me or my life!” And ever since then, it’s been my mission to own my own time and to help other creative entrepreneurs feel free.
In 2009, I co-founded the Blogalicious community and conferences celebrating diversity in social media. An outgrowth of that is The bLink Marketing Network where we pair influencers with brands for paid marketing campaigns. On this site, I blog at Life Is The Party about the topics of Style, Success, Food, Family, and Life. I’ve also served as a media personality and brand ambassador for companies like General Motors, Proctor & Gamble, and ConAgra Foods, to name a few. Starting in 2010, I started offering coaching services to entrepreneurs, and in 2015, I launched my Rockstar Influencer coaching program – meant to serve influencers in the most in-depth and effective way.
So that’s my story (the uber-condensed version!). No more working for someone else and feeling stifled. No more keeping my gifts from the world. No more wanting to live my passion but worrying about money. After being intentional about my transition, in 2012, I finally left my day job to work for myself full-time, and I haven’t looked back. More time with my family (3 kids now!); the ability to work from anywhere; the opportunity to live my purpose; the chance to generate unlimited income with no ceiling; the blessing of changing more lives and making a bigger impact.
Now, my Life IS the Party.
