Rachel is a communications professional committed to solving her team’s most pressing challenges by utilizing strategy, innovation, collaboration, and leadership. Whether in front of the camera, behind the editor’s desk, or with a strategic communications plan, you can find Rachel discussing the latest in Black business, entrepreneurship, policy, and entertainment. Rachel has worked on nationwide events such as SXSW Interactive and the Annual Essence Music Festival; and spearheaded events and partnerships global organizations such as National Geographic Television, WeWork, HPE, Google,and Walmart Stores Inc.
With a passion for storytelling, Rachel has earned a B.A. in Journalism with a Broadcast News concentration from Howard University in Washington, DC and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Venture in Management Intensive Program. With Walker’s Legacy, Rachel manages the organization’s communications and special projects functions to fulfill the organization’s mission to entrepreneurially train, inspire, equip, and engage its growing network of over 40,000 business professionals and multicultural women.
Rachel is also the mind behind SomeStyle.net, a lifestyle and news blog inspired by the words of Ms. Maya Angelou aimed to provide relatable content on current affairs, style, music, and career for the young, professional woman seeking to develop her best self.
