Jonathan Rabb is the proud founder of Watch The Yard, a digital community and source of news and entertainment focused on the culture of Black college students in America. Founded in 2013, Watch The Yard has grown to attract over 1 million monthly active readers and is now the largest website dedicated to the rich culture of Black fraternities and sororities. The site curates and leads the digital conversation about the African-American experience– past, present and future– by digging deeply into the meanings of Black identity in America and the experiences of college educated African-Americans. Watch The Yard has created an interactive platform for Black students and alumni to collectively celebrate each other’s achievements in a world where they rarely see themselves represented. Jonathan is also the cofounder of Clutch, an emergency response technology company.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, he worked as a television host for The CW and Radio Disney, did Fulbright Grant research in digital audience development and cross-platform storytelling at one of Europe’s largest digital creative labs in Berlin, and worked in Hollywood as a red carpet reporter.
